Privacy Policy

CT Engineering Co., Ltd. ("we", "the Company") welcomes you to the MOTIONNEX® official website (the "Site"). To help you use the Site with confidence, this Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data collected while you browse the Site. Please read it carefully.

1. Overview

We are committed to protecting the personal data transmitted to us through the Site. This policy covers how the Site handles personally identifiable information ("PII" as defined under the GDPR) collected while you browse.

This policy does not apply to third-party websites linked from the Site, nor to vendors or persons not engaged by the Site.

Data we collect

How we obtain your personal data

Most personal data sent to us through the Site is provided by you, for example through the contact form / online enquiry, or by e-mail to our mailbox (e.g. info@ctEngineering.com.tw). This may include:

  • Contact name and company / organisation name
  • General contact details such as e-mail address and telephone number
  • Geographic information (country / region)
  • Your message about our products and services

Other data is captured automatically by our web server when you browse the Site — mainly technical data exchanged between hosts (such as your browser, operating system and the time of access).

How we use your data

  • To respond to your questions, comments or suggestions.
  • For internal record keeping.
  • To detect browser, operating system and device type so pages display correctly on your device.
  • To analyse how visitors use the Site.
  • To improve the Site, our products, services and customer support based on that analysis.
  • To send you product news or promotional e-mail from time to time.

Your rights

You may at any time ask us where we obtained your personal data, how it is stored, who receives and processes it and what it is used for. You also have the right to have the data corrected and/or deleted, free of charge. For any question about this policy, e-mail us at info@ctEngineering.com.tw. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Analytics and third-party tools

While you browse the Site we may compile statistics on your browsing behaviour, mainly through browser cookies and a data processor. We use Google Analytics, normally in anonymised form so that browsing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You may opt out of analysis or block Google Analytics with the tools described below.

2. General notes and disclosure obligations

Data security / privacy

We treat your personal data confidentially, never disclose it to third parties except as described in this policy, and comply with the Personal Data Protection Act. The Site uses SSL certificates throughout: the connection between your browser and our server is authenticated and encrypted, and all HTTP requests are redirected to HTTPS.

Please note that transmitting data over the Internet (for example by e-mail) can never be made completely secure, even with the safeguards we have in place.

Responsible entity

The entity responsible for data processing on this Site is:
CT Engineering Co., Ltd.
No. 135, Zhongxiao 1st St., East Dist., Chiayi City 60080, Taiwan
Tel: +886-(5) 276 2106 · Fax: +886-(5) 276 9947
info@ctEngineering.com.tw

Withdrawing consent

Many processing operations require your explicit consent (for example ticking the consent box on the contact form). You may withdraw consent at any time by e-mailing us in any form; processing carried out before the withdrawal remains lawful.

Data portability

Where we process data automatically on the basis of your consent or a contract, you may request that data in a standard, machine-readable format, delivered to you or to a third party you designate, where technically feasible.

Right of access, restriction and erasure

Within the limits of applicable law you may at any time request information on the personal data we hold about you, its purpose, how it was collected and where it is used, and ask us to correct, restrict or erase it. We will handle such requests as quickly as possible.

No unsolicited advertising

We object to the use of the contact details published in our legal notice for sending unsolicited advertising or information, and reserve the right to take legal action against unsolicited messages such as spam.

3. Data Protection Officer

As a small business with fewer than 100 employees we are not required under the GDPR to appoint a Data Protection Officer. Questions about personal data on this Site may be sent to info@ctEngineering.com.tw.

4. Data collected through the Site

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser so that a website can recognise a visitor or their behaviour. They do not harm your device and contain no viruses; they let us make the Site more user-friendly, efficient and secure. Most cookies we use are "session cookies" that are deleted when you leave; others remain until you delete them and let us recognise you on your next visit. You can configure your browser to allow cookies, keep local data only until you close the browser, or block third-party cookies.

Cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the Site has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to provide a technically error-free service. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous analytics (visitors, source, time on site, pages viewed) and place the related cookies on your device. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser will refuse them, but some functions of the Site may then not work properly.

Server log files

Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores "server log files" that your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing device, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources.

Contact form / online enquiry

If you send us an enquiry through the contact form, we store the details you enter, including the contact information you provide, for follow-up. We do not pass this data to third parties without your consent. Processing is based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by e-mail; processing before withdrawal remains lawful. We keep the data until you ask us to delete it or withdraw consent, subject to statutory retention periods.

External links

The Site contains links to other websites. Those sites are not covered by this policy; they have their own privacy policies.

Sharing personal data with third parties

We never provide, exchange, rent or sell your personal data to any individual, group, private company or public agency, except where required by law or contract, including but not limited to: with your written consent; where expressly required by law; to maintain public order, national security or the public interest; to prevent danger to your life, body, freedom or property; in your own interest; for statistical or academic research by public agencies or research institutions where individuals cannot be identified; or where, after investigation, disclosure is necessary to identify, contact or take legal action against you for conduct that violates our terms of service or harms the Company or others.

5. Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics, provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies stored on your device to analyse how the Site is used; the data generated is usually transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the USA. These cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — the Site operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour to optimise the Site and its advertising.

IP anonymisation

We have enabled IP anonymisation on the Site. Within the EU / EEA your IP address is truncated by Google before transmission to the USA; only in exceptional cases is the full address transmitted and then truncated. Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the Site, compile activity reports and provide other related services. The IP address transmitted by your browser is not merged with other Google data.

Browser plug-in

You can prevent cookies from being stored through your browser settings, although some functions of the Site may then be unavailable. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the cookie data (including your IP address) by installing the browser plug-in available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Objecting to data collection

You may object to data collection by Google Analytics by clicking the link above, which sets an opt-out cookie that prevents collection on future visits. For more on how Google handles user data see https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245.

Contract data processing

We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict EU requirements when using Google Analytics.

Demographics and interests

The Site uses the "Demographics and Interests" feature of Google Analytics, which produces reports on the age, gender and interests of visitors. This data comes from Google and cannot be traced back to you.

6. Plug-ins and tools

Facebook (Like and Share buttons)

The Site may embed plug-ins from Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, recognisable by the Facebook logo or "Like" button (see https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/). The plug-in connects your browser directly to Facebook servers, so Facebook learns that you visited the Site and your IP address. If you are logged in to Facebook and click "Like" or "Share", the content is linked to your Facebook profile and Facebook may associate your visit with your account. As the content provider we have no knowledge of the data transmitted or how Facebook uses it — see https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. If you do not want Facebook to associate your visit with your account, log out of Facebook before visiting the Site.

YouTube

The Site may use plug-ins from YouTube, operated by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you open a page containing a YouTube plug-in, your device connects to YouTube servers and YouTube learns which of our pages you visited. If you are logged in to YouTube, your browsing may be associated with your YouTube account; log out first to prevent this. YouTube is used to present our online content attractively, a legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. See https://policies.google.com/privacy for YouTube's handling of user data.

LinkedIn

The Site may use features of LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Pages with embedded LinkedIn features connect to LinkedIn servers, which learn which pages you visited and your IP address. If you click the LinkedIn "Recommend" button while logged in, LinkedIn can associate your visit with your account. As the content provider we have no knowledge of the data transmitted or how LinkedIn uses it — see https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
